How Does Scarlet RF Work?
Scarlet RF micro-needling technology delivers radio frequencies deep into the skin using patented technology called the “NA effect” which emits direct heat deep into the skin creating a droplet shape of thermal energy from the epidermis all the way down to the deep layers of the dermis. Why choose RF microneedling?
In traditional microneedling, a device with fine, short needles is used to create tiny injuries or “micro-channels” in the skin. The body responds to these small wounds by initiating a healing process that stimulates collagen growth and cellular renewal. What can I expect before, during and after treatment?
Microneedling with Scarlet RF requires minimal preparation before your visit, other than a consultation with our aesthetics team. First, your skin will be cleansed and sterilized. A topical numbing agent will then be applied to ensure your comfort. Once it takes effect, your provider will pass the Scarlet hand piece over the desired area in a controlled stamping motion.
A treatment session takes approximately 30 minutes for the face or 15 minutes for the neck or décolletage. The time needed for a Scarlet body treatment depends on the size and condition of the targeted area.
One of the best features of the Scarlet system is its convenience. It was designed with comfort in mind, so side effects are mild and there is minimal downtime. Your skin may appear slightly flushed or swollen immediately after a session. This should fade away within several hours and should not require you to take time off from your daily schedule. It is incredibly important to avoid sun exposure and to be reapplying a physical sunscreen every 2 hours when outside. Your technician will go over post care and what products to be using at home to avoid improper healing.
