About Laser Hair Removal
The Lutronic Clarity laser is a dual wavelength device used to safely treat unwanted hair on all skin types. Utilizing the longest wavelength for hair removal currently available on the market, the Nd:YAG, we are able to target deep hair follicles allowing for safe removal or unwanted hair on darker skin tones. With the Alexandrite wavelength, we can also target finer and lighter hair commonly found on lighter skin types.
How it works
The laser light is attracted to the pigment in the hair follicle and damages it at the root, leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. The damaged hair follicle will then no longer produce hair. To have the most effective treatment consistently scheduled appointments are extremely important to achieve the best results. Multiple sessions are required as not every hair is in the anagen phase (growing stage) 5-20% of hair will be damaged per session with a reduction of 80-90% after your series of treatments.

Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds) and wear sunscreen on the exposed treatment areas. Avoid anything hot or sweaty for 24 hours.
FAQ
How many treatments are needed?
6 sessions minimum are required per area for up to 90% reduction. This may vary slightly from person to person. Hormone irregularities, such as PCOS, or major hormones changes, such as pregnancy or menopause can affect results.
Are the treatments comfortable?
The Clarity laser uses cryogen cooling, which makes even the most sensitive treatment areas very comfortable. No numbing cream is required!
How much is each treatment?
Is there any downtime or any restrictions post treatment?
You can return to most normal activities right away, but there may be some redness in the treated area. It is important to refrain from anything that causes excessive heat or sweat for 24 hours following your treatment. The sun, including sunless tanning beds must be avoided for 72 hours post treatment. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas that are exposed to the sun.
Am I a good candidate for treatment?
As long as your hair has pigment, we can treat almost any unwanted facial or body hair. Very blonde or grey hair cannot be treated as there is no pigment for the laser to be attracted to. Anyone who is pregnant or breast-feeding is not a candidate for treatment. Some autoimmune diseases are absolute contraindications as well. Sun avoidance is required for a minimum two weeks prior to a laser hair removal session.
